Toronto is getting another women’s only co-working space as a workspace called The Wing flies into the 6ix.
The space will focus on work and play as it functions as both a work space and social club. Hilary Clinton recently visited the flagship New York City location as have several other celebrities including Lena Dunham.
All locations are created by an all-female design and architecture team and feature a menu of food, wine, and cocktails created by female chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists. There are also showers and lactation rooms for working mothers.
The Wing’s the taglines include: “A home base for women on their way,” “Your throne away from home” and “Say goodbye to the old boys’ club.”
It was founded by PR exec Audrey Gelman and her business partner Lauren Kassan. The pair were inspired by the women’s social clubs of the early 20th century.
The Wing will also be expanding in Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Seattle, and Williamsburg.
The Toronto location is expected to open next year. Females interested in vacancy can apply here.
